Designs produced in the DadLab
Examples of things I've built in the Lab. This page will always be under construction, so please bear with some broken links and empty text blocks.
Dining Room Table
Our old dining room table was a small hand-me-down from Angie's parents since college. After 20 years, it was time for an upgrade using ash lumber cut and milled from our yard.
Pool Table Light
Wisconsin winters get dark in a basement, and our pool table needed some help. Adding this light above using walnut from a neighbor's fallen tree helped game play and really made our new table felt pop!
Compact Tractor Cold-air Intake
A friend has a medium-sized tractor for his property in northern Wisconsin. He would routinely see decreased performance in the hot summer months, so he contacted me to find out if we could bring some cold air from outside the heat-soaked engine compartment.
Sounds like a fun experiment, right?
We iterated through a few designs and materials (PLA would not hold up to the heat) before settling on a swoopy design that worked around other engine components and printed it from heat-resistant ASA material.
Kringle Serving Boards
Racine, WI is the kringle capital, and I thought it would be an interesting project to make elliptical Danish flag boards for serving.
Other projects
Here are some things I've made that might turn into their own page at some point down the road.
